Transportation Department employees include school bus drivers and bus mechanics. These important staff members are the ones who  really “set things in motion” to ensure that the learning environment at Sierra Unified is consistently maintained, safe, and ready for students.

 

Our Transportation team works tirelessly to keep our vehicles and equipment operating at peak efficiency. 

 

For many students, that learning environment begins each day on the school bus. Bus drivers are often the first to greet the students, and the last ones to say good-bye at the end of the day. We transport students in a safe and timely manner. Our 31 school busses deliver over 1,000 students to and from schools, covering up to 1,700 miles each day, averaging around 300,000 miles per year. We are committed to serving the school community and supporting the educational process of children by enhancing the learning environment.
