SUSD Special education services department

SUSD Special education services department

The Sierra Unified School District provides a wide range of specialized, no-cost services for students with disabilities. These specially designed instructions are offered in various settings, depending on a student's individual needs. The Special Education Department is staffed with speech and language specialists, psychologists, special education teachers, and para-educators, all of whom are supported by a rich professional learning environment. By coordinating special education processes and investing in staff training, the district supports its mission of developing and implementing model programs while adhering to federal and state requirements.
Each student’s IEP determines the level/type of support needed.
