Good afternoon Sierra Unified Families,

As mentioned in the community message on Friday, there are 2 conditions that would cause us to have to delay the return to in-person instruction. Since our communication, we have had an increase in reported positive cases or cause for quarantine among staff members. The increase is significant enough that we cannot safely meet the needs of our students and maintain health and safety protocols set in our plan to meet the state, county and district guidelines.

We will begin instruction with online, distance learning Monday, January 4-Monday, January 18. You can view the Distance Learning Schedules here. We are currently working on a plan for school meals and how those will be distributed. We will send out further details through Aeries Communications and social media when those plans are ready.

It is our intent to open school sites to in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
