Good evening Sierra Unified Families,

We want to make you aware that PG&E notified us of a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff due to expected high winds in our area. These possible shutoffs would impact Foothill Elementary, Sierra Junior/Senior High School and Sandy Bluffs Education Center sites. We are actively monitoring the situation.

If power is out at either school site, schools will be closed to in-person instruction, and in order to maintain fair and equitable access to instruction during a loss of power and possibly internet, online distance learning will be suspended for the day.

A message will go out by 5:00 am on Monday only if school is CANCELLED.

School cancellation due to a power outage will not impact our students’ return to school as it relates to COVID-19.
